Equine Assisted Therapeutic Learning for children and young people with autism or other social, emotional or communication issues; what's it all about?

We would be delighted to welcome you to an Open Afternoon at Rainbow Horses Learning Centre.

Do you work with children or young people with autism?

Do you know children who are struggling with social and/or emotional issues?

Are any of them having difficulty accessing the curriculum or even coming to school or college?

Rainbow Horses Learning Centre can give them opportunitiess to make connections, work together, improve confidence, develop strategies for self calming, solve problems, learn new skills, practice social interactions and feel good about themselves.

Rainbow Horses Learning Centre is an Approved Alternative Education Provision.

We provide a calm, supportive, outdoor space where children and young people can learn about themselves and develop their strengths. We offer bespoke packages for groups or individuals wishing to explore issues such as bullying, anxiety, managing behaviour, teamwork and assertiveness.

We can help children acheive nationally recognised qualficications through the Open College Network through working with the horses.

Our open afternoon will be held on Friday 8th July from 12 to 2.30 pm at Hill Farm, 7 Jericho Lane, Barkestone Le Vale, NG13 0HF.

This will be a chance to experience the emotional impact of being with the horses in the fields, learn how horses model social interactions, see a group Equine Assisted Learning session in action and ask any questions.

A light buffet will be available and there will be the chance for one attendee to win a free 2 hour group session for up to six children.

Please contact [email protected] by the 1st July if you would like to come.
